Xbox One has dropped a vampiric addition to its backwards compatibility line-up today, with the addition of Castlevania: Harmony of Despair. The 360 game is now playable on Xbox One and if you don't already own it, you can snag it up for $15, along with several character packs for a couple bucks apiece. $15 is a bit of sting for a game that game out 8 years ago, but the multiplayer is pretty fantastic and might make it worth your while, if you have some Castlevania loving buddies who are down to come along for the ride.
Castlevania: Harmony of Despair is a platform-adventure title first released on August 4th. 2010. The co-op mode plays similarly to the "Boss Rush Mode" of previous 2D Castlevania games, but with several rooms and items to find, culminating in a boss to fight. It also includes a versus mode, with battle occurring between players. Some bosses are able to attack players on their way to the fight. The game features a good roster of characters, like Alucard, Soma Cruz, Jonathan Morris, Shanoa and Charlotte Aulin, all from previous 2D Castlevania games.
