Set in a gigantor open world, Generation Zero's world is a reimagining of 1980s Sweden, only hostile machines have invaded the countryside, which isn't what the Swedes are looking for at all. Of course, you'll need to fight back against the robot menace while unravelling the mystery of what the hell is really going on.
The whole point of the game is being outgunned and outmatched, so you'll have to G up with your buddies in co-op multiplayer, utilizing guerrilla tactics to lure, cripple and destroy enemies in intense, creative sandbox skirmishes. Co-op works with up to three of your buddies, so there are a ton of ways to get creative. You'll collaborate and combine your unique skills to take down enemies, support downed friends by reviving them, and then share up the loot after an enemy is defeated. Your foes are persistently simulated in the world and roam the landscape with "intent and purpose". When you manage to destroy a specific enemy component, whether that's armor, weapons or sensory equipment, the damage is permanent. Enemies will bear those scars until you face them again, whether that's 5 minutes later, or two weeks in the future, kind of like the Shadow Of Mordor chieftains.
