Chernobylite is a brand new science-fiction survival horror game from the creators of Get Even, that mixes free exploration with combat, crafting, and non-linear storytelling. You play as a physicist, one of the Chernobyl Power Plant’s ex-employees, investigating the mysterious disappearance of your girl. Girls are always running off, I swear. Even in an irradiated wasteland. You tell them to stay put, they refuse and just look what happens. Every time...
In Chernobylite, you'll try to survive while revealing the contamination zone’s twisted secrets, and unfortunately the military is not going to be your only concern out there. On the plus side, you can ally (or compete) with other stalkers of the Chernobyl zone but your decisions will determine the fate of your companions. Spend as long as you need preparing, but every moment you wait, your chances of success dwindle: your comrades can die, supplies will be used or a patrol could pop up and see you lollygagging around and pop you one in the skull. Add supernatural dangers that are arising in mysterious patterns all around you and you've got your hands full, and a good excuse to not sit around too long. Basically, you need a strong strategy to survive, but take too long crafting it, and you'll be dead before you can implement it.
You can craft your own gear and weapons to protect yourself from the hostile military personnel and supernatural threats lurking in the zone, making use of sophisticated tools at your disposal to help you navigate the contaminated environment. You can decide to play it loud or quiet, and you can choose to piece together what happened bu investigating the past, or leave it all alone and focus on the tasks at hand.
