Anytime I am allowed to control dinosaurs, I'm in. I still have fond memories of riding Kodos into battle in Warcraft 3, beating the hell out of drums and feeling like a badass, even though all your could do is hit a drum and throw weak-ass tomahawks. However, Warparty is bringing some next level dino-riding to the RTS genre, as shown by the trailer below, and the multiplayer has been shaping up nicely from all indications we've seen.
The multiplayer, which has undergone months of fine-tuning in Steam EA (just like every game nowadays), is backed up by the addition of a Campaign mode, which has hours of play in its own right, plus it lets you learn the ropes without teammates screaming that you suck and little kids calling you racial slurs, as those adorable little buggers enjoy doing. The solo Campaign mode also has a slew of original missions, new maps and cinematic cutscenes for the lonely gamer, although we all know that the real meat and potatoes here is the multiplayer.
You can choose between three factions, Wildlanders, Necromas, or Vithara, and as you may expect, each have their own unique units, buildings, playstyles and talents. Once you've keyed in your faction, Warparty offers a few modes to destroy each other in, like Survival, AI Skirmish and Custom Online Multiplayer.
Warparty is now available on Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
