Free games! Is there a sweeter two word sentence out there? We think not. This month, we are getting some pretty solid titles, which is nice; I can't even tell you how many free games are just clogging up my PS4's external Hard Drive (if you need one, check out our WD 2TB review here) that will most likely never, ever be played. These, on the other hand, have a shot.
First up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness are almost toast, so grab em up now, if you want them. But enough about last month. Let's talk about next month.
In April, we've got The Surge, the sci-fi Souls-esque title from 2017. Now, sure, with Dark Souls I, II, and III, Nioh, and others you may have forgotten about the Surge, but it was a decent title, where a catastrophic event knocked you out during the first day on your new job, and when you wake up, you've got a heavy-grade exoskeleton. Mondays, am I right? You quickly realize two things: one, robots have gone haywire, insane augmented co-workers and rogue AI are pissed and everything wants you dead. And 2, that you need to kick their ass.
Next, we have The Witness, a first-person puzzle adventure game, where you explore an island with numerous structures and natural formations, all divided into eleven regions. Your goal is to reach a mountain in the center, and the regions are differentiated from one another by changes in vegetation, although the puzzles within each region are similar to one another.
That's what you got for this month, if you feel like exploring or hacking, dismembering and chopping, jump on your PS+ account and scoop em up on the arm.
