For how few films Bill Murray does, another zombie flick seems an odd choice, especially with a Zombieland sequel finally coming out, but who knows why Murray does what he does? Plus, this does look pretty damn funny. In Zombieland, Murray played himself, in one of the best cameos I've ever seen, surviving the zombie apocalypse in his mansion, only to be killed when a practical joke he pulls goes terribly wrong.
In addition to about a billion stars, Adam, Driver and Bill Murray will be assuming the roles of police officers in a town besieged by the living dead. Here's the official synopsis: "In a small peaceful town, zombies suddenly rise to terrorize the town. Now three bespectacled police officers and a strange Scottish morgue expert must band together to defeat the undead."
The movie, in theaters on June 12th, is written and directed by Jim Jarmusch (Ghost Dog: Way Of The Samurai) and stars Adam Driver, Bill Murray, Selena Gomez, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Austin Butler, RZA, Tilda Swinton, Tom Waits, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, and Carol Kane.
