That's right, there's a host of Hellboy characters available in Brawlhalla now, thanks to the upcoming Hellboy film, which I may or may not be anticipating hard as an MF. To tide you over, you can now play as Hellboy, Nimue, the blood queen sorceress with designs for destroying mankind (she's a total B), portrayed by Mila Jovovich, Gruagach, a once-man loyal to Nimue who has been imprisoned inside the body of a freakish boar and stands and fights on two legs and finally, Hellboy's buddy, Ben Daimio, a member of the BPRD (Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense) who can turn into a Jaguar when he gets pissed. Hellboy, Nimue, and Ben Daimio skins will be priced at 300 Mammoth coins each, while Gruagach is available for 240 Mammoth coins. The Hellboy (2019) skins will continue to be offered in store after the event.

There's also some new Hellboy themed modes coming our way, with Horde: the new Hellboy-themed game mode, where players will team up in a group of four to defend the gates of the Great Hall against an army of demons, holding off as many waves as possible. Horde mode will be available as a custom game mode option after the two-week Hellboy event ends. On top of that, there's a new a Hellboy-themed map, Apocalypse, and a daily login bonus of 250 Gold

Brawlhalla is a free-to-play fighting game developed by Blue Mammoth Games and released for mac, PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Switch. On March 5, 2018, Brawlhalla developer-publisher Blue Mammoth Games was acquired by video game publisher Ubisoft, and as a result, Rayman joined as a guest fighter on November 6, 2018.

Hellboy is a movie that will hopefully be super badass, and will release on April 12th. The film stars David Harbour in the title role, alongside Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, Daniel Dae Kim, and Thomas Haden Church. It is a reboot of the Hellboy film series, and has nothing to do with the Ron Pearlman/ Guillermo Del Toro films. The upcoming film draws inspiration from the comic books Darkness Calls, The Wild Hunt, and The Storm and the Fury.

Brawlhalla  is out now.
