The new, single player, narrative heavy Jedi title has got the whole internet buzzing and rightly so. It's been a long while since we've had a Star Wars property that wasn't multiplayer-centric (looking at you, Battlefront), and obviously every gamer wants to wield the force and use a lightsaber, so this seems a no-brainer. Also stirring up excitement was a recent tweet from @EAStarWars that read, "No microtransactions. No loot boxes. And no, we won't be adding them. A single-player Star Wars story for those of you who are ready to become a Jedi."
No loot boxes or microtransactions. Who would have thought that fans would be excited about that?
The game follows Cal Kestis, a padawan who is one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the great purge of Order 66 (remember when basically all Jedi in the galaxy were shot in the back by clone troopers?), now trying to hide his force-sensitivity and powers. When he uses his connection to the force to save a friend, he has to go on the run as the Empire closes in around him.
Here's the epic poster for the game, and the new teaser is below. Despite not containing gameplay, you can see how the world will look and get a feeling for this new, soon to be Jedi.
Jedi: Fallen Order will land on Xbox One, PS4, and PC this holiday season.
