Kingdom Hearts III was released earlier this year to the shrieks of fanboys everywhere, and now they're expanding the title with a brand new update, out today. In the update, players can either embark on (or relive) the adventures of Sora and the gang in the all-new Critical Mode, a new high-difficulty mode for players that think they have it all figured out.
KH3 lets you join forces with Donald Duck and Goofy and travel across worlds based on films like Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Hero 6, Tangled, Frozen and a ton more. If you've already played this game backwards and forwards and trounced the crap out of it, this new mode may be for you.
Claiming to "challenge even the most skilled Keyblade wielder to be more tactical", the new mode chops your maximum HP and MP in half and lowers the frequency of situation commands and magic, but in order to combat this (literally), Sora can perform new abilities exclusive to this harder difficulty mode.
This update also allows you to carry over your Keyblades to a new game, and although the blades will return to their default strength, through this optional feature, players can utilize Keyblades otherwise not obtained until later in the game from the very beginning of your adventure.
Kingdom Hearts III is available now for Xbox One and PS4.
