Surviving Mars: Green Planet has some new stuff for you, introducing Terraforming Parameters to the survival management game, aimed at adding a new layers of strategic depth. Now, players can build new structures, complete special projects, and seed vegetation across the surface of Mars to terraform the hostile-ass, generally mean-ass planet and build a second home for humanity. Once Mars is capable of supporting human life, players can open the domes and let their colonists breathe the fresh Martian air. At their own peril, of course.
Some of the new features are Terraforming, which makes the hostile planet habitable for humanity, and everything you do can affect the atmosphere, temperature, water and vegetation, so you can throw your planet into disarray quite easily if you aren't careful. There's also Green Mars, which lets you seed the surface of the planet with various lichen, grass, shrubs, or trees and watch as they begin to turn the alien red planet into a green paradise. Plants like lichen can improve the soil quality to help more complex plants grow while trees produce high seed yields for your colony to harvest.
There's also new special projects, 7 new terraforming buildings and climate calamities which occur when you release too many greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere and trigger things like acid rain or even causing an asteroid to hit the planet.
