Activision and Treyarch just announced that the new season of content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 begins tomorrow, April 30th, so you better get those sticks ready. Stuck with the rather unwieldy title of Operation Spectre Rising, the season features updates across the entire game, including a new Specialist, new outfits and personalization items, new changes to the Blackout map, new game modes, and more.
There's also a ninja.
That's right, the newly added specialist, called Spectre, has a katana and as shown in the trailer, can run up on groups of gun toting enemies and chop them to pieces. They can also use smoke grenades to obscure an opponent's vision, while still seeing their outlines through the smoke, so they can rush in and get super stabby. Spectre will also be added to Blackout as a new skin.
Treyarch will also be hosting a livestream with members of the development team at 12:00pm Pacific time today to talk about more details of the new season. If you're into this kind of thing, check it out here.
