Yeah, you heard that right. Leg-beasts. The Sinking City as piqued our interest since it started slithering through the media about a year back, and we're almost at release time, so we've been seeing more and more of the game. We're pleased to report that it is looking pretty damn good, even the combat, which clearly isn't the focus of the title.
This action-adventure mystery horror game is inspired by the works of horror author H.P. Lovecraft and follows a private investigator trying to solve a mystery in the fictional fishing town of Oakmont, Massachusetts during the roaring Twenties. A veteran of war and rife with PTSD, Charles W. Reed is searching for the cause of Oakmont's unrelenting floods and the horrific visions compelling dozens of people to travel to the town. As you can see in the video, most of the people in town are some kind of amphibious freaks, some of which you must shoot in the face, others you need to interrogate or question. The trailer below has a little bit of both.
The Sinking City is set to be released for Steam, PS4 and Xbox One on June 27, 2019.
