Assemble Entertainment, who are best known for their work on Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry, just announced that they've snapped up the publishing rights to Pixelsplit's darkly comical rogue-lite zombie survival game, Deadly Days, which just arrived on PC, and even better, you can grab this shambling horror for 20% off until May 20th.
The story is your standard zombie fare, although in Deadly Days, the apocalypse started with the fast-food chain MKing launching a new burger product with addictive additives secretly added to the meat in order to boost sales. Unfortunately, the addictive drug meant that all logic brain areas shut down over time, except for the "Gimme fresh meat!" portion of the brain, while also preventing people from dying a natural death. That's right.... it's zombie time!
Deadly Days is going for a strategic survival bend and tossing some light RPG elements in there as well. You'll manage and protect a group of survivors and help them find a cure for the ravenous disease that has taken over humanity, while discovering and using a wide variety of crazy items, special abilities, and lethal weapons to try and stem the zombie tide.
Deadly Days is out now on PC.
