Ah, remasters. When will it all stop? To be fair, if they are all gonna be remake/remasters, like the brilliant Resident Evil 2 (read our full review here), I wouldn't bitch half as much about all the retreads flying around, but I digress. Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin's Creed III: Remastered (including Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered), is now available for the Switch, including all the solo DLC from the original game: the Benedict Arnold missions, Hidden Secrets and The Tyranny of King Washington.
The remaster is taking "full advantage" of the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch, with a touch screen interface, motion-control aiming, optimized HUD and HD rumble, plus some general gameplay tweaks and ergonomics to improve the experience overall.
If you missed the boat the first time around, Assassin's Creed III Remastered has you reliving the American Revolution as you play as Connor, the warrior son of a Native American mother and British father. In the face of the bloody Revolution, your clan is threatened by a powerful group seeking to crush and control the thirteen colonies. Guess whose village gets caught in the crossfire? You guessed it. Yours.
After the devastation of your village, you pledge your life to preserve freedom and also to tomahawk a TON of people. You'll unleash your deadly skills in a decades-long quest that will take you from the city streets to blood-soaked battlefields in the hostile American wilderness and beyond. Explore colonial Boston, New York, the frontier and various epic naval missions, meeting legendary American heroes as you conspire to annihilate all those who threaten liberty.
Assassin's Creed III Remastered is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
