Ancestors Legacy, a history-inspired RTS title is getting a new DLC, which is no easy feat, considering that the game is influenced by historical events from the Middle Ages. Does this make the game more savagely badass than other RTS titles? One would assume, but you'll have to watch the video and see.
The game combines resource management and base building with large-scale, squad-based battles across huge battlefields, and the cinematic action camera puts your face up close and personal into the carnage anytime you hit the button. The four base armies are the Vikings, Anglo-Saxons, Germans, and Slavs, and there is a slew of conquering, raiding, pillaging and a full range of tactical and strategic options available to you in order to crush your enemies. Saladin's Conquest, the brand new DLC aims to expand on that.
In the new DLC, you'll take command of Saracen warriors in a brand-new single-player campaign, allowing you to experience war far away from the usual battlefields of Europe. You'll explore another path of history and aid Saladin in protecting his desert lands against the Crusaders, with all new units in 5 story-based missions and throughout 3 brand new maps for multiplayer and skirmish. The new nation of Saracens will also be playable on all current multiplayer maps, and we've got the video below so you can see how it comes together.
Ancestors Legacy: Saladin's Conquest will release later this year.
