You can roll one of two days through this purported fright-fest: alone or in multiplayer, which is a nice switch up for a horror game in general. In the Dollhouse single player story, players enter the mind of the mysterious detective, Marie. Suffering from amnesia and involved in a terrifying investigation to recover her traumatic memories (why would she even want those?), she's continually stalked by mysterious visions and often surrounded by haunting mannequins. As she hunts for the truth behind her daughter's death, she may not want to face what she finds. So... she's the killer? I guess we'll find out.
In the second mode, the online Murder Party, Dollhouse goes multiplayer with fourteen playable characters, like aspiring actress Faithand, underworld escort Vesper, and more, and each character possesses their own motivations, story, special abilities and passives. Supporting two to eight players, each character is assigned a different target to murder. Players will have to stalk their prey and collect as many memories as possible in order to win, all while eluding their own pursuer and the freaky ass mannequins that lurk in the shadows.
Watch the trailer to see if this is your cup of tea, but if you don't like mannequins, you might not dig it. Don't say I didn't warn you, cuz the trailer is lousy with them.
