We loved Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden, which was basically X-Com meets story meets mutants. This expansion not only gives players hours of new gameplay, brand new locations to visit and new weapons, there's also a brand new character. That character? Yeah, it's a mutant moose.
We gave the original game a 92%, and had this to say:
"With so many ways to approach and attack a given combat situation, paired with an intriguing story, makes this a very hard game to put down. Every loss was an opportunity to restrategize and every victory was an inspiration to move on to "just one more map". It's challenging, intriguing, and just wacky enough to keep you coming back for another journey into the Zone. Play this game."
As you can see, we enjoyed it quite a bit. This new DLC continues the story of the turn-based tactical adventure title set in post-apocalyptic Sweden, where the player controls a group of mutants searching through the ruins of civilization for salvation or simply something to eat. Combining a mixture of stealth and combat strategy and evolving your characters through a series of interesting mutations, the game was a hit with critics and fans alike.
In Seed of Evil, a new menace looms as powerful and ominous roots have emerged and seem to be taking control over the minds of friends and foes alike. Fortunately, a new hero has arrived, and players can now add Big Khan the moose to their squad of mutants. He is not only skilled at landing critical hits but comes with the unique mutations Ground Pound and Flame Puke, giving the option to apply a more diverse playstyle in order to succeed.
Watch the trailer below to get a look at the new mutant, and while the expansion on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch was originally set to release on June 25th it will now release on July 30th.
