Yeesh. A game that focuses on childhood fears, eh? Well, seeing as how IT scared me so badly I could barely sleep, why not?
Selma and the Wisp made its original debut on Steam, and based on the reception there, Ultimate Games S.A. has ported it over to the Nintendo Switch, available on the eshop tomorrow. The title is a platformer with elements of adventure and logic, and surrounds the main heroine, Selma, a girl who enters mysterious and terrifying lands straight from her nightmares. Her only hope for nocturnal survival turns out to be a forest skylight that is controlled by the player.
A rather unique premise, you can see how the game atmosphere looks in the screenshots below; they are highly stylized animations that are simultaneously low poly in style. Combined with the game's dark, worrisome climate, and innovative control system and some unconventional riddles, the game looks low-key twisted and definitely worth checking out.
Selma and the Wisp will arrive on Nintendo Switch May 31, 2019.
