The Undead Sea is the first major free content update for World War Z, the action-heavy, zombie blasting co-op shooter inspired by Paramount Pictures’ blockbuster film from about a million years ago (2013). Zombie killers can now tackle a totally new mission in Tokyo aboard an undead-infested ferry, where you and your squad will battle through open decks and tight cabins while watching out for a virulent new zombie type that's on the loose; specifically, one that spits deadly toxins and will come back to life if not dispatched appropriately. You'd assume that "dispatched appropriately" is blowing it's undead head off, but no, it's a melee finisher, otherwise it comes back at full health.
Along with some fixes and balancing, the new update includes private lobbies, the ability to switch classes during PvPvZ matches, field of view (FOV) and level of detail sliders on PC, and bonus cosmetics to round out the experience.
The next update in Saber’s post-launch content roadmap for World War Z includes a new six-skull difficulty setting, Weekly Challenge mode, a wave-based survival mode, and a bunch more.
You can download The Undead Sea now, for free, as long as you have the base game.
