Time is going to tell on this weird-ass, brightly colored little indie game. Made by Justin Roiland, a man who is most famous for voicing the characters of Rick and Morty, which he also co-created, co-wrote and executive produces with Dan Harmon. In 2016, Roiland launched virtual reality studio Squanchtendo, which he later renamed Squanch Games. Its first full-length title, Accounting+, was made in collaboration with William Pugh's studio, set for a 2019 release.
The premise of Trover Saves the Universe is as follows:
Your dogs have been dognapped by a beaked lunatic named Glorkon who stuffed them into his eye holes and is using their life essence to destroy the universe. You're partnered with Trover, a little purple eye-hole monster who isn’t a huge fan of working or being put in the position of having to save the universe. He’s also not that big a fan of you quite frankly, and neither am I.
Trover Saves The Universe is out now for PC and PS4.
