The last season of The X-Files had me super excited, until I watched it.
Not that it was bad, it just didn't really roar back the way I was hoping.
All the elements were there, but after so much time had passed, I am not sure what people really wanted.
More black eye goo? A return to the "creature-feature, monster-of-the-week" style of its heyday?
There was a little bit of everything, but overall, I was underwhelmed, and pretty bummed about it.
The new season looks a bit more action packed, with Mulder and Scully trying to find their son, who is probably half-alien, or perhaps the savior or downfall of humanity.
