Creative Mobile and FoxNext Games announced their new X-Files title, X-Files: Deep State, which will coincide with the release of the new season of The X-Files, season 11 will be available for your consumption in early 2018).
This free-to-play title doesn't have you assuming the role of Mulder or Scully (crap!), instead placing you in the polished shoes of an unnamed special agent in the FBI, unraveling the threads of a mysterious, inexplicable crime. Players will uncover hidden clues, solve puzzles, interrogate witnesses, suspects and generally do FBI type stuff.
The events of X-Files: Deep State start to unfold sometime during spring 2010, taking place between seasons 9 and 10 of the television show. The game will feature a story-line revolving around alien invasion and ever-present government conspiracies, as well as self-contained episodes related to various paranormal cases.
