Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is the sequel to the reboot of the trilogy of the Jurassic Park films that launched in 1993. How ridiculous does that sound?
Then again, Jurassic World was pretty great. I liked it a lot, even if it was pretty much a retelling of the first film (seriously, when are people going to stop screwing with dinosaurs?).
The film is set four years after the theme park/resort was absolutely destroyed by dinosaurs, and now Isla Nublar has been abandoned, with the dinosaurs just rampaging around by themselves in the jungle. Unfortunately, they built this park on an island with a FRIGGING VOLCANO ON IT, so now Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) have to go save the dinosaurs, especially after Claire guilt trips the hell out of Owen with the whole, "What about Blue, the baby raptor that you raised by hand? You gonna just let him die?" thing. Can't believe he's falling for it. It's a raptor. You can't exactly take it home to your apartment.
Still, I will see this, because it looks like it's going to be rad. It is! Watch the trailer!
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be in Theaters June 22, 2018.
