We reported on the film's first trailer and some basic info a couple weeks back (check it out here), and now we've got the second trailer. The movie (and book) packs in a ton of old school gaming characters, kind of like a Where's Waldo of the video game world.
Set in a dystopian world where resources are scarce and the earth has gotten the crap kicked out of it by pollution, global warming, war, you name it, most people spend their time in the OASIS. OASIS is a VR world populated by MMO players, some of which are searching for 3 fabled keys that will make them rich beyond their wildest dreams, in the form of the OASIS creator's fortune and company. The protagonist is a VR gamer who finds one of the keys, and then? Madness ensues.
