Fans of Ultimate Spider-Man's Miles Morales are finally getting what they've been waiting for... kind of.
Sure, it's an animated release, but it's coming to theaters, so you still get the big screen action. Based on the 2014 Spider-Verse event, the series featured every version of Spider-Man ever, from Spider-Man 2099 to Spider-Gwen and even Spider-Man Noir. It's basically the ultimate Spider-Man crossover team-up, but Spider-Man is teaming up with alternate versions of himself.
In the trailer, we see a Spider-Man wearing Nikes (because product placement), meet up with Ultimate Spider-Man's Miles Morales. In the comic event, the Spider-People band together to fight Morlun, who is basically a vampire that feeds on Spider-Men. He can still sustain himself by feeding on normal people, but he really gets that good nourishment from Spider-Men and Women.
The animation in the trailer is really well done, and I have high hopes for this, especially since the latest theatrical release that featured animated heroes was the much maligned "Batman: The Killing Joke".
