Ooooooh, doggy! This has got me excited. The Simpsons is an obviously amazing classic and if you don't think so, I don't value your opinion on anything. Sorry, but that isn't even my rule, that's like the rule of the universe. Futurama has always been hit and miss with me, but if I'm going to be completely honest (and I do try to be on this site, if literally no where else in my life), I don't think I've ever really given it a legitimate shot. I've caught an episode here and there, but I have never actually sat down with a season and been like, "Ok. I am going to give this show my unfocused attention." With that said, I don't hate it, I just never really got into it.
It looks like Matt Groening has another chance to draw me in with his new animated Netflix exclusive, Disenchantment. Centered around a hard drinking princess in a medieval setting, Groening definitely has the voice talent lined up to pull this off. Groening is bringing in hard hitters like Nat Faxon (Reno 911, Orange County, The Cleveland Show), Eric Andre (a bunch of weird ass shit, including the Eric Andre Show) and Abbi Jacobson (Bojack Horseman). The three play a demon, an elf and a booze-addled princess, and that combination sounds pretty awesome to me.
I trust Groening, and if you don't, I'm not sure we should be friends.
Disenchantment is coming in 2018, and season one will have 10 half hour episodes.
