This might be way more "horror" than "comedy", but from the look of the flick, it sports a great, suburban-perfection, Stepford Wives types of vibe, right up until Nick Cage and his wife go insane and try to kill their own kids. Hopefully the film manages to keep flipping the tropes around instead of being a one-trick pony, but solely based on the trailer, I think it's got a chance.
The movie centers around an unknown epidemic that causes parents to try their hardest to kill their kids over a 24 hour period. Brian Taylor is handling the directing, and you'll know Bryan mainly for the frenetic, hyper-violent flicks Crank and Crank II, which, although I don't love, I have to agree that they did exactly what they set out to do. If he brings that same kind of madness to Mom & Dad, with Nick Cage going full-blown "Nick Cage", this could absolutely work.
