Well, Gambit just lost another director and no one knows who the hell is going to end up playing Batman, but the upcoming Flash film, reportedly titled Flashpoint might finally be on track. According to Variety, the guys who did the Vacation reboot (which was admittedly not good), John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein are going to take over the directing duties on the project.
The duo replaces previous director Rick Famuyiwa (who replaced Seth Grahame-Smith). Before everyone freaks out about two guys who made a crap comedy reboot handling a beloved, tentpole superhero flick, you should know that the two wrote the screenplay for the pretty damned fantastic Spider-Man: Homecoming. The duo are still in "negotiations", but one would assume that 20th Century Fox will be pretty eager to lock these guys down and start production.
Flashpoint is currently scheduled for release in 2020.
