Anyone remember Bloodshot from Valiant comics? He was pretty cool, and valiant didn't have a lot of cool characters back in the day, or maybe they just didn't have enough impact to readers, since everyone had been spoiled by DC and Marvel for years. For those who don't know, Bloodshot is a former soldier with powers of regeneration and meta-morphing, which is made possible by nanites injected into his blood. After having his memory wiped numerous times, Bloodshot is out to discover who he really is and get vengeance on those who wiped his mind and pumped him full of computers. Bloodshot's bloodstream contains millions of nanocomputers, enabling him to heal from injuries quickly, interface with technology, and shape shift his mass.
Now it looks like Bloodshot will come to the big-screen, and it should; why let Marvel and DC have all the fun? If it goes through, Bloodshot will be part of a five-film shared universe plan for joint franchises based on the Valiant comic books “Harbinger” and “Bloodshot.” The film will reunite Diesel with Fast and the Furious producer Neal Moritz, Dave Wilson will direct, and Oscar-nominated screenwriter Eric Heisserer is writing the screenplay.
If all goes as planned, we'll see Diesel in Bloodshot summer 2019.
