You saw Kung Fury. It was amazing. Part 80's kung-fu/cop show love-letter, part ridiculous dinosaur time-travel awesomeness, the original short film was as ludicrous as it was random: in the early 1980s, Miami Police Department detective Kung Fury and his partner Dragon apprehend a red ninja in a back alley, but Dragon is sliced in half by the ninja while Kung Fury is suddenly struck by lightning and bitten by a cobra, giving him extraordinary kung fu powers that enable him to defeat his foe. From there, he runs into time travel, a partner called "Triceracop" and a mission to hunt down and kill Hitler. I told you. It was awesome.
The synopsis of the upcoming film sounds like it will not disappoint:
The action is set in 1985 Miami, which is kept safe under the watchful eye of Kung Fury, the greatest cop of all time. Kung Fury’s Thundercops are the ultimate police force assembled from across history to defeat the villainous Kung Fuhrer, who is, of course, a karate master Adolf Hitler. After the death of a Thundercop causes the group to disband, a mysterious villain emerges from the shadows to aid in the Fuhrer’s quest to attain the ultimate weapon.
