It's been a long time since the last Incredibles adventure, and apparently, even longer for the patriarch of the family, Mr. Incredible.
Details have been scant for the sequel to the 2004 smash, The Incredibles, but what we know is this: since the events of their last world-saving adventure, Mr. Incredible has focused on the kids, becoming a stay at home dad and leaving the costume in the closet, with Elastigirl (his wife, played by Holly Hunter) handling the super-powered shenanigans. They do have baby Jack-Jack to take care for, after all, and I'm sure the other two kids are busy at school. Also, according to the pictures, Jack-Jack is becoming a little X-Man in training, taking his cues from Cyclops by shooting lasers out of his eyes, and god knows what else the tyke can do.
But after a new, tough-as-nails villain emerges, it's time for the whole family to get back into costume and re-form the Incredibles to take him or her down. The posters that have been released thus far focus on the stay at home dad angle, with depictions of the famous red costumes in the laundry basket, the wash, and finally, the ironing board, where Mr. Incredible is careful to get all the wrinkles out. As the poster says, it's almost time to "suit up".
Almost everyone is back, including director Brad Bird in the director's chair and John Walker producing. Also returning is Sarah Vowell (Violet) and Samuel L. Jackson (Frozone).
The Incredibles 2 is all set to hit theaters on June 15.
