Look, I don't care if these aren't "good" movies, ok? All I know is, Power Rangers screwed me over, and this movie is basically more Power Rangers than Power Rangers. I gotta get my fix somewhere. In fact, I think that Pacific Rim should just take over completely. They could jump out of their Jaegers, hit a button to don super rad ninja/dinosaur style armor and fight an invasion on foot, Dynasty Warriors style.
I mean, if Power Rangers can't make a cool movie about teens who turn into ninja warriors, then fight giant monsters in dino-themed super mechs, I don't know what to tell you. The thing is basically writing itself. Oh, yeah, there is also like two decades of (cheesy, but still) source material to pull from. Shame.
Take a look at this latest trailer, it's got everything you need. Sweet accents, lots of jumping in the air and attacking while hollering "Raaaaaaaghhhh!", lightning whips, badass Mass Effect 3 style wrist blades and more. I wasn't dying to see this, but now I am pretty damned excited. See what you think.
