I have already voiced my opinion rather strongly about this show and character, so I'll save you another full-on rant, and give you the condensed version:
- I love the Punisher
- I don't love what they keep doing to the Punisher
- Punisher should not drink white wine
- Punisher should wear a shirt with a skull
- Punisher should not shoot shotguns in a hospital
- Punisher should shoot bad guys with a shotgun
- Punisher should cry, at max, no times per season
- Punisher should use many guns to shoot at bad guys
- Rinse, repeat
Everyone got that? Mind you, this isn't necessarily me imposing my opinion on the character, this is a set of guidelines every fan in Punisher history will agree with. So, with that said, on to the news.
Marvel’s The Punisher just added three cast members for the upcoming second season of the show. Josh Stewart (Shooter, Dark Knight Rises) will play Josh Pilgrim, a man who has forsaken a life of violence, but (just like the Punisher, apparently) “circumstances will force him to use his old skills and bring him into Frank Castle’s world.” Also joining the cast is Floriana Lima (Lethal Weapon, Supergirl) will play Krista Dubois, “a smart, compassionate, and driven psychotherapist for military veterans.” Another new female cast member is Giorgia Whigham (Scream) playing Amy Bendix, “a street-smart grifter with a mysterious past.”
The second season of The Punisher will feature Bernthal, Ben Barnes, Amber Rose Revah, and Jason R. Moore. No date has been set for release.
