After last week's little peak (take a look at the teaser and our article here), now we have a full blown trailer for the upcoming Marvel show. The full trailer looks a lot better, and doesn't necessarily look like a corny, play-it-safe show that you'd expect on the "freeform" channel (it's actually a thinly disguised attempt to make people forget it's really the former ABC family channel).
In the trailer, we see how Tyrone and Tandy (Cloak & Dagger) meet, although they are saving the big reveal of how they get their powers for the show. We do get to see one of Tandy's "light-daggers", although, in the interest of saving money, they are less the blazing, pure-white light bursts that we see in the comics, and more like big, tangible chunks of crystal, which is slightly disappointing. We see Cloak use his teleportation power, but he clearly has no idea how he is doing it, waking up on top of a building wearing nothing but a perplexed expression.
We also see Tyrone getting shot at, and Tandy and Ty falling asleep together, holding hands. One would assume they are going to push the romantic angle, which will be interesting, as I never saw that explicitly driven home in the books, although I'll admit I was never that hardcore of a C&D comic fan.
Cloak and Dagger's 2 hour premier is on June 7th, on ABC's Freeform channel.
