There are a million movies in the middle of a reboot, remaster or re--imagining, but this one actually could be pretty great. The Crow was a macabre slice of 90's action back in the day, and I always thought that it was perfect on its own, as evidenced by every one of its 3 sequels getting trashed, and hard. I mean, how can you continue the series, besides telling the same story all over again? The Crow is the classic story of man meets woman, then other men shoot them both and toss them out of 2nd story windows. Gaining supernatural powers, dude returns from the dead one year later and gets his revenge on the men who killed him and his fiance.
However, its been long enough that rebooting it could be cool, if the right director and writer get their hands on it. They have tapped Corin Hardy to direct (The Hallow, The Nun), but we'll see how it goes, since The Crow needs someone that understands horror and action. Momoa is an odd choice for the role, as part of what makes the Crow work is his lean, unassuming appearance, but maybe Momoa is going to slim down a bit.
