As per usual, when a hero dies, everyone immediately begins wondering how they are going to bring him/her back. It's even starting to seep into the films, like in the horrible, terrible, abomination that is BVS: Dawn Of Justice. Oh, they killed Superman, eh? Bet that's it for him then. Pretty ballsy of DC to get rid of their flagship character like that. Riiiiight.
Now it's Wolverine's turn. After losing his healing factor and fighting his way through about a million enemies, he was encased in liquid adamantium, which hardened around him until he was dead. Now, of course, he's back.
As reported by CBR.com, Marvel is bringing ol Logan back, even though technically, he never left. Old Man Logan got his own series, written by the incomparable Jeff Lemire, and X-23 took on the mantle of Wolverine in the meantime as well (see her in old school Wolverine rags below). But now, Wolvie is back, and even though most of the Marvel universe doesn't know it, they most likely will when Wolverine #1 hits shelves in September.
A plethora of heroes have been searching for what they thought was Wolverine's stolen body, not knowing that Logan apparently stole his own body, i.e. he's not dead, and he's using it. So far, it looks like Charles Soule will be writing, which makes sense, as he was responsible for Wolverine's death in the first place.
Stay tuned, we'll get you more news as it comes available.
