Nicolas Cage hasn't made a movie since Joe, and I can't even remember what was before that. He makes so many awful, awful films, it's like him and Johnny Depp are in a race to see who can be the most useless, overexposed actor in Hollywood. And the race is tight.
That said, this looks badass. It's some kind of dream-like, half-animated, hyper-violent revenge type flick, and I am in. I still can't understand why they couldn't have done something awesome like this for Ghost Rider, but the bottom line is, they didn't, that movie sucked the root, and hopefully this one wont.
Outsiders Red Miller and Mandy Bloom lead a loving and peaceful existence. When their pine-scented haven is savagely destroyed by a cult led by the sadistic Jeremiah Sand, Red is catapulted into a phantasmagoric journey filled with bloody vengeance and laced with fire.
You know this is gonna be mad "phantasmagoric."
