I don't know how well this is going to do, but it does have some potential. DC has often swung and missed with their edgy properties, and it would make more sense to me to be lighter fare here, given that it is a bunch of teenagers called the Titans, including a promiscuous, fire spewing alien and a green alien boy who can turn into animals. It seems like every time they try to edge it up, it fails.
Still, after the goofiness of the Flash (even though I enjoyed it), and the pseudo edginess of Arrow, maybe this will work. The trailer features Robin as the edgiest, angsty teen who apparently has some kind of father figure issue with Batman, in addition to Hawk and Dove (I am actually excited about that, no one has ever seen them live action before), Beast-boy, Raven, Starfire and I think that's it, at least for the trailer.
There's no plot yet, although it seems like Robin is a cop, which is an interesting turn. It makes sense, as Robin (especially if it's Tim Drake) is a hell of a detective.
