Castlevania season one was possibly the best video game crossover property ever. I can't think of a better, more consistent adaptation out there, and I'm drawing from both TV shows and film. Everything about Castlevania was right on, from the gore and animation to the plot and voice acting. Although the series was short, only four episodes long, it left fans hungry for more, and now we're getting it; season two is on the way, with 8 brand new episodes arriving on October 26th.
Read the synopsis below, and keep an eye on Netflix around Halloween to see if they can make the second season as good as the first. The trailer looks particularly badass, with the three member team that consists of a Vampire Hunter, Vampire and Sorceress (more or less) coming together to kill Dracula, who has pretty much gone blood-drunk, and now wants to wipe humanity off the face of the earth.
Returning to Netflix for a second season, Castlevania, inspired by the classic videogame series, is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes himself. Trevor Belmont, last survivor of his house, is no longer alone, and he and his misfit comrades race to find a way to save humanity from extinction at the hands of the grief-maddened Dracula and his sinister vampire war council.
