Now, while I do love Rick Remender (his run on the Punisher was one of my favorites), this book didn't resonate too strongly with me, but with directors Anthony and Joe Russo (Avengers Infinity War) behind this upcoming television series, it might have a chance.
In the graphic novel, Marcus Lopez is a screwed up kid living on the streets and heading out of trash cans. After a run in with a mysterious man, he ends up enrolling in a school of assassins, run by a man named Master Lin. The school is packed full of the children of mob bosses and murderers, learning the "family business" as it were. The story follows Marcus and the stories of the kids enrolled in the academy, and it is suitably bloody and violent, as the kids try to juggle lessons, rules and school while also trying not to kill (or get killed) by the other pupils.
