I can't wait for this flick. Say what you want about M. Night Shyamalan (and there's a lot to say), Unbreakable was a great flick, and Split, although not as good, was still pretty damn entertaining. Now, M. NIght is bringing his "Eastrail 177 Trilogy" to a close with Glass.

Unbreakable was a 2000 American superhero thriller film written, produced, and directed by M. Night, before the superhero genre was popping off with every hero under the sun. In Unbreakable, a security guard named David Dunn (Willis) survives a terrible train crash, which kills everyone else on board. After the incident, a disabled comic art gallery owner named Elijah Price (Jackson), helps him to realize that he possesses superhuman powers. The film follows Dunn testing and accepting his powers, and trying to find out how to use them. The movie is awesome, and if you haven't seen it, go handle that.

Split was a film that was seemingly unrelated to Unbreakable until the final scene of the film. The movie follows a man with 23 different personalities (McAvoy) who kidnaps and imprisons three teenage girls, who try appealing to his various personalities to escape. One of his darker personalities manifests within his psyche and results in a physical transformation into a 24th personality, called "The Beast" who is super jacked and also eats people. Yeah. It's rad.

Glass focuses (or appears to focus on) Samuel L. Jackson's character, as he pulls the strings to encourage a conflict with Dunn (Willis). Watch the trailer below to see how the film is shaping up. If Shymalan can pull this off, it will be two good movies in a row, which he hasn't been able to do since The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable.

Glass premiers on January 18th of 2019.
