In this new trailer for A Game Of Thrones, we see fire meet ice, and unfortunately for those who like the Lannisters, we see the Lannister Lion catch fire as the ice spreads down from the North, meeting the fire in the south, a clear reference to "A Song of Ice and Fire," the books on which the show is based on (obviously).
CNN reported back in June that HBO had ordered a pilot for a Game of Thrones spinoff, because no one has any ideas that are new, and all we do is leap frog off of successful properties. The prequel will take place thousands of years before "Game of Thrones" and will "chronicles the world's descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour." Who knows, maybe it will be good.
The final season of Game Of Thrones begins in April.
