Time keeps rolling by in Stranger Things, and now we're in the mid 80's. Mike and Eleven have become boyfriend and girlfriend, as kids call it, and so have Max and Lucas. The kids are living normal lives in the wake of defeating the Mind Flayer, but fresh problems are arising, like the new Mayor, Mayor Kline, who is corrupt and possibly worse. Responsible for supporting and overseeing the construction of the new Starcourt Mall, sinister happenings begin which may or may not have something to do with his administration. As the Fourth of July approaches, strange things start happening, with Lucas' sister Erica discovering a mysterious new threat and a lifeguard at the community pool suddenly disappearing, which begins to freak out an already understandably freaked out town.
