WACKY PHYSICS-BASED SHOOTER-PLATFORMER 'RUSHOUT' CRASHES ON STEAM NEXT FEST!

PapaCubec brings the pain to players in a game designed to test the limits of human frustration

Indie game developer PapaCubec teams up with publisher Nordcurrent to bring you a new game called Rushout, a physics-based platformer and 3rd person shooter hybrid. The game will be featured during the Steam Next Fest which starts on October 1st 2021, and will have a playable demo available. RushOut is aimed to be released in 2022.

Nordcurrent is also announcing today that another game from its line-up, the action-RPG Decision: Red Daze, will have a 90-minutes long demo available during the Steam Next Fest.

ABOUT THE GAME

RushOut is a physics based hilarious game that marries platformers and 3rd person shooters together into a game with every feature pushed to the extreme. From C4-strapped pigs and zombie wizards as enemies, to random items such as burgers and pizzas as traps, everything in this game is working toward the common goal of throwing you as the player all the way back to the start of the level and making you cry. You are thrown into a boundless dreamworld full of weird platforms, devastating traps and crazed enemies and your objective is to escape, find out who brought you to this realm and uh... not-alive them. RushOut will test the players' patience and push the limits of human frustration- Overcome, adapt, improvise.

KEY FEATURES

  • Utilize a powerful arsenal of weapons and use them to blast away hordes of annoying foes trying to prevent you from successfully completing the level.
  • Use your wits and luck in equal measure to abuse the ragdoll physics in the game to complete each level, or throw it all into the pit of luck and get flung across the entire map by a stray obstacle that we have in store for you.
  • This game is designed to test the limits of human frustration- don't get discouraged if your first... 20 attempts don't work out and you can't beat the game today. Or tomorrow. Or the day after that. It's a feature! Keep at it.
  • Take advantage of the bullet time ability to slow down time and kill your foes in an epic fashion, or to finetune your movement for easier completion  of the platforming.
