FMV and Interactive Film Hybrid The Gallery Premieres at the Dinard Film Festival

London, UK – 27th September 2022. Aviary Studios’ new FMV and interactive film hybrid The Gallery which recently launched for PC via Steam (PC and Mac), PlayStation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, iOS (Apple Store) and Android (Google Play Store) will be screening as a group game play event from 29th September to 1st October at the Dinard Film Festival 2022.
Written and directed by Paul Raschid, one of the most prolific live action video game / interactive film creatives, The Gallery is a thrilling combination of hostage thriller and social drama with a dash of world film festival cinema aesthetic. Two Decades. Two identities. It’s going to take everything you’ve got to survive the night.
The Gallery has been created to engage both gamers and interactive film fans with its blend of high production values, stellar cast and a nuanced script depicting the games’ two time periods - 1981 and 2021 - both of which are of considerable political, social and cultural significance in UK history.
The game comprises 5 hours of content with 150 branches and 18 different endings.
The Gallery boasts a stellar cast including George Blagden (Louis XIV in Versailles and Athelstan in Vikings), Anna Popplewell (Susan Pevensie in Disney’s Narnia franchise), Kara Tointon (Mr. Selfridge and Eastenders); Rebecca Root (The Queen’s Gambit); Richard Fleeshman (The Sandman and Coronation Street), Shannon Tarbet (Killing Eve and Love Sarah) and Fehinti Balogun (I May Destroy You).The Gallery is localized (subtitled) into 11 languages: Arabic, Chinese (simplified), French, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazilian) Russian, Spanish (Latin America) and Turkish.
George Blagden and Anna Popplewell will be attending the Dinard Film Festival to support The Gallery alongside Paul Raschid who will also be giving a Masterclass on creating this innovative, immersive experience.
The Gallery will feature in the ‘Cinema – past, present and future’ section of the festival where it will represent the future category.
