Gamers' charity SpecialEffect are inviting gamers across the world to join the many communities, content creators and companies that have already pledged to take part in the tenth annual GameBlast23 challenge over the weekend of 24-26 February.
Heralded as 'the best reason to game ever', the charity's GameBlast weekend will see hundreds of gamers take on huge range of sponsored gaming-themed challenges over the three days including marathon livestreams, speed runs, esports tournaments and board games sessions.
The event has raised over £1M over the last decade, enabling the charity to help people all over the world to enjoy video games and access inclusion to the very best of their abilities.
Sign up is live at www.gameblast.org.uk and donations can be made to the event at http://bit.ly/3QLSfwv
SpecialEffect's COO Tom Donegan said, "GameBlast is very close to our hearts because it reflects the very essence of what we do: gamers coming together to help their fellow gamers. It's always a really feel-good weekend and we can't wait to see the variety of streams and challenges our amazing supporters come up with this year to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the event!"
As well as the individual gamers and creators who'll be gaming hard over the weekend, many names in the games industry will also supporting or taking part in the event, and video game apparel stalwarts Insert Coin have this year created a limited edition GameBlast mug celebrating the event's tenth anniversary, with all profits going to the charity.
