Lesser Evil announces Death From Above
a drone warfare game set in Ukraine.
Munich, Germany - March 9, 2023, Lesser Evil is proud to announce the launch of a Kickstarter campaign for Death From Above, a video game focused on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The campaign will run from March 9 to April 9, 2023, offering backers exclusive access to the game's beta versions and other exciting rewards.
Death From Above is an arcade-style drone simulator game set during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. You will play as a Ukrainian military drone operator fighting the occupation, salvaging valuable equipment, and restoring communication lines disrupted by the conflict. The Kickstarter campaign will run for 30 days and, if successful, will help the development team to collaborate with Ukrainian artists to enhance the game’s visuals, audio, and storyline. Additionally, further funding will help the game grow with features and content.

"We want to help the people affected by the Russian occupation, so we will be supporting Ukrainian artists by featuring their work in our game,"
said Hendrik Lesser, Game Director.
"When Death from Above is released in Early Access on Steam, 30% of the net revenues from game sales will be sent to two Ukrainian charities: Come Back Alive and Army of Drones. Once we break even, that donation will increase to 70% of all future net game revenues, with the final 30% going towards improving the production further."
While the game is set against a real-life backdrop of the severe and tragic events still unfolding in the real world, Death From Above is still designed as an enjoyable, satirical experience for players. Fun can also be informative!
The game will be released on PC in Steam Early Access in the coming months. Please check the Press-kit for assets and additional information, or contact us directly for beta access and press inquiries.
"We want to help the people affected by the Russian occupation, so we will be supporting Ukrainian artists by featuring their work in our game,"
said Hendrik Lesser, Game Director. - How about you pay Ukrainian artists for their art instead of offering to feature their work for free. This will not help us.
The creation of a game that glorifies killing people related to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine is morally reprehensible, especially given the gravity of the situation. As individuals, we must consider the ethical implications of our actions and ensure that we do not contribute to further violence and suffering. Therefore, it is important to condemn such actions and promote responsible and compassionate behavior towards all those affected by the crisis in Ukraine.
