This year's BIG Conference will be held at Bilbao's Euskalduna Palace, during December 15-16. Sara Borondo, a veteran and respected Spanish video games journalist, will repeat as head of the committee overseeing the contest. "Last year, the BIG Indie Contest faced the challenge of turning the page with a new name, and it rose to it with more than 150 games from 32 different countries taking part in its three categories", says Borondo. "Testament to the quality of its participants is that the winner of the Best Indie Game category, Endling, got a BAFTA too! I expect this year the Contest will grow even more thanks to the incredible quality of the indie games being released in the recent past. It's gonna be exciting!"
The winners of last year's BIG Indie Contest were the games Endling: Extinction is Forever (Herobeat Studios), Party Games (Tellmewow), and NOX: Chapter 1 (The Buua Studio).
