Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Attack on Titan Talent Joins the Brutal Hack-and-Slash Title Slave Zero X™

Today, Ziggurat Interactive, publisher of multiplatform retro and modern games, reveals the final actor lending their talents to Slave Zero X™, the biopunk character action slasher coming to PC and consoles on February 21, 2024.

Elizabeth Maxwell, known for her work in popular titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Attack on Titan, RWBY, and Fire Emblem Engage, lends her voice to the character of "X" in this unforgiving dystopia set in the same world as the original Slave Zero™ (1999).

Elizabeth Maxwell's skills span the gaming and animation industries alike. She'll be using her wealth of talent to bring to life one of the main characters of the brutal hack-and-slash title: X, the biosuit wielded by the main character, Shou.

Created by the SovKhan for his "Slave" project, X is a Prototype Biomech Embryo that demonstrated signs of early self-actualization and ego—sentience. Not having any need for Slaves with wills of their own, the SovKhan had her marked as "defective" and disposed of...or so he thought. An "X" labeled on her container, she was discarded by Dark Matter scientists and then discovered by the Guardians beneath the rotting foundations of the Megacity. Shou, the strongest of the Guardians, merges with X to augment his formidable abilities in pursuit of devilish retribution. Now, they act as one, both fueled by a desire to enact vengeance on the tyrant that rules the Megacity.

Set in the same world as the original Slave Zero™ (1999), this franchise continuation will bring a whole new side-scrolling hack-n-slash experience to fans of the original game. A satisfyingly punishing game, Slave Zero X™ sees players donning a death-dealing biosuit to do battle against the violent forces of the tyrannical SovKhan. Featuring multiple gameplay modes and a variety of futuristic 2.5D dystopian urban levels to battle through, players will string together brutal combos and fight through waves of genetically enhanced biopunk opponents —all to the tune of a gnarly synth soundtrack.
