663 Games Confirms 12th April Release Date for Lotus Lantern: Rescue Mother

Guangzhou, China - March 28th 2024. Indie publisher 663 Games and developer Unstable Games have today announced that their exciting new top-down roguelite action game Lotus Lantern: Rescue Mother will launch for PC via Steam on 12th April 2024.
During Steam Next Fest, fans were treated not only to a playable demo of the first full level of the game, but also to a developer livestream where Tim from Unstable Games played through the demo and went into more detail about the story and gameplay mechanics. Since then, the team has been busy adding the final touches to Lotus Lantern: Rescue Mother and is in the very final stages of finalising the game for launch.
Lotus Lantern: Rescue Mother is a top-down roguelite action game inspired by Chinese mythology. Join Chenxiang on a perilous quest to rescue his mother, Sanshengmu. Chenxiang must master martial arts skills from the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, to battle the enemies standing in his way. Players will learn distinctive combat styles and acquire a variety of magical treasures and items, allowing them to boost combat proficiency and craft extraordinary abilities to defeat legendary formidable foes.

Sanshengmu, a goddess from the celestial court, has been imprisoned beneath Mount Hua for violating celestial laws by giving birth to a boy named Chenxiang with a mortal. When Chenxiang came of age and learned the truth, he vowed to rescue his mother.
With the assistance of Sun Wukong and other powerful immortals, Chenxiang must overcome numerous trials and defeat formidable enemies to finally be reunited with his mother.
